Tamara Croes
Tamara Croes is an environmental engineer with 20 years of experience in the field, who specializes in ecotourism, Environmental Impact Assessments and helping hotels and other companies set up environmental management systems, based for instance on the Green Globe system or ISO 14000. She has worked as a free lance consultant for the Caribbean Hotel Association and the Caribbean Alliance for Sustainable Tourism and has performed dozens of environmental audits. She has been a judge for the Caribbean Hotel Association's American Express Environmental Award and was on the board of the Small Business Association of Curacao. She has set up and managed her own company, Green Island N.V, which produces 100% natural herbal products. She has recently immigrated to Sweden and is working as a freelance consultant, translator and writer. She speaks 10 languages, including Swedish which she is currently learning, and is a passionate lover of nature and wildlife. She is a Rescue Diver with a future goal of becoming Dive Instructor. She is interested in travelling, photography, reading, kickboxing, and horseback riding, and she plays tennis and golf.
